The Energy Company Greener Grants (ECO) is a program by the British government that aims to help people struggling with high energy bills and promote a cleaner environment by encouraging energy-efficient practices. This initiative is focused on reducing fuel poverty and carbon emissions across the country. By taking part in the ECO scheme energy companies contribute to making homes and buildings more energy-efficient, making them cheaper to run and reducing the amount of harmful emissions
released into the environment.
The ECO scheme is a program designed to help people who struggle to pay their energy bills. Medium and large energy suppliers are required to participate in the scheme and promote ways to make homes more energy efficient. This can include things like adding insulation or upgrading a heating system to reduce energy usage. The goal is to help low-income families and vulnerable individuals stay warm and comfortable
in their homes while also lowering their energy bills. The amount of effort each supplier puts into the program depends on their share of the domestic gas and electricity market.
The ECO scheme helps people who struggle to afford their energy bills by providing assistance for home energy efficiency improvements. if you’re a homeowner or tenant you can find out more in the (add link to eligibilty page)
Available measures include FTCH (First Time Central Heating), Boiler Replacements and Underfloor Insulation.
If you don’t have a central heating system or if you don’t have a boiler or radiators, you can now apply for First Time Central Heating (FTCH) grants. Our goal is to make the process of applying for these grants as easy as possible for you. We offer a free, no-obligation survey and will help you all the way through the process of installing measures with the help of gas-safe approved engineers.
Grants are available through the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme to help homes become more energy efficient and reduce emissions. This is done by obligating larger energy companies to provide funds for this purpose.
It’s important to have a well-heated home, as living in a poorly heated home can lead to health risks. With the ECO scheme, homes can get heating systems they need at little to no cost. The installation of radiators, boilers, and pipework is taken care of.
This results in many benefits, such as lower emissions and lower energy bills. To qualify for a heating system under this scheme, you must not already have a heating system or boilers and radiators. Also, you must be receiving one of the qualifying benefits or qualify through your local council’s LA Flex scheme. Homeowners and renters can be eligible for this scheme.
